與鎮邦帖 A letter to Chenpang

【作者介紹】

姜立綱，字廷憲，號東溪，瑞安梅頭鎮東溪村人。他是我國明朝一位書法家，曾以「善書」聞名海內，並遠播日本，被譽為「一代書宗」。清《三希堂法貼》收有他的墨跡。

Inside Story

This is a letter Chiang Likang wrote to Chenpang asking him to serve his country with all his efforts. Although Chiang Likang had heard of Chenpang long ago, they did not know each other till many years later. Since they were not closed friends, he was uncertain if Chenpang could be loyal to his country in spite he was a talented man and was willing to serve his country. He also mentioned the territory of the country was decreasing and there were various battles along the border, which was rather disturbing to the imperial government. As now the government had sent Chenpang to handle the matters he asked him to try his best to take care of the matters.
