與壼梁帖 A letter to Huliang

【作者介紹】

周天球，字公瑕，號幼海（明畫錄作幻海），長洲（今江蘇蘇州）人。諸生。少游文徵明門下，習為書法。徵明亟許可之曰：「他日得吾筆者周生也。」善大小篆、古隸、行、楷。晚能自得蹊徑，一時豐碑大碣，無不出其手。

Inside Story

In the letter Chou Tienchiu told Huliang about his recent condition. He had been traveling around to handle many things since the beginning of the year, hence he did not to stay at home often and did not have much time to study poems. He was grateful to Huliang for his letter of reminding him to relax and not to push too hard on himself during the period. Chou Tienchiu also mentioned recent conditions of some other friends in the end of the letter.
