張翰帖 The decision of Chang-han

【About the author】

歐陽詢（557年－641年），字信本，潭州臨湘縣（今湖南省長沙市）人。隋末唐初官員，唐代四大書法家。他的楷書有「楷書極則」之譽，成為後來學習書法者經常模仿的對象。

Inside Story

Chang-han was a courtier in Western Jin Dynasty. He anticipated his country was moving toward disorder. He planned to resign from his position and returned to countryside. As autumn wind starts to blow, he missed the vegetables and fresh fish at his hometown. Immediately he made the decision to resign and later he actually resigned and returned home.
