王覿（1036－1103）字明叟，泰州如皋人（今屬江蘇）。1051年（宋仁宗皇佑3年）王覿與堂兄王觀赴開封太學拜胡瑗為師，專心研讀仁義禮樂經典，養成一身正氣。

|
In the letter WangTi, mentioned how he had handled liquor tax and had managed the establishment of a brewery. He hoped the superior officers would accept his proposal as soon as possible so that both the populace and the empire could benefit from it. |
