Inside Story
|
The first paragraph described a royalty courtier told Emperor Tai (in Tang Dynasty) pros and cons of regime in Sui Dynasty as well as how an emperor should avoid making the same mistakes. In the other paragraph, one day Emperor Kao felt it was rather difficult to be an emperor because there were too many things he wanted to do and remained undone. Tseng Ti happened to be around and advised him what an emperor ought to do. Tseng Ti believed Emperor Kao was capable of leading the country to prosperity. Emperor Kao gained his confidence back after listening to Tseng Ti. Emperor Kao was reading Tang-History and he wrote down a paragraph and gave it to Tseng Ti. |

| 此帖，是蔡襄作詩上呈宋仁宗之作。在詩前是蔡襄向仁說進呈這首詩的原因。仁宗曾賜書並賜字「君謨」蔡襄，並且對蔡襄有很大的期望，希望蔡襄可以為天下國家盡力，蔡襄極為感動，也是備受榮寵，因此寫詩進呈。詩的大意是感謝皇帝對他的重視，稱讚皇帝的盛德，最後則說自己一定會為國家竭盡心力，讓皇帝的成就，可以上追上古的聖君明王。 |
