書蘇軾地黃詩 Poem of Tihuang herb

宋高宗是傑出的書法家；自言「……凡五十年間，非大利害相仿，未始一日捨筆墨」，初學黃庭堅，後改學米芾，至終以追摹魏晉法度和王羲之、王獻之父子。

Inside Story

The form of the calligraphy is a poem written by Su Shih in the late period of Sung Dynasty. In the poem it stated the hair color of a horse turns shining if the horse is fed with tihuang herb. In fact, the poem was an association of Su Tungpo inspired when he was reading an article written by Pai Chuyi. He thought himself as an old horse lack of energy ( at that time Su Tungpo was on the way to a further remote jurisdiction). I f Tihuang herb grows in fertile soil, as spring comes it will grow lavishly. It also mentioned there are some other herbs that can be cooked together into a soup. The soup is good for health to clean up the waste inside of our body.
