薛紹彭，長安（今陝西西安）人。生卒年月不詳。北宋書法家。宋神宗時人。字道祖，號翠薇居士。恭敬公薛向之子，以翰墨名世。自謂河東三鳳後人。官至秘閣修撰，出為梓桐槽。家藏晉、唐法書，名畫甚多，與米芾每以鑒賞相高，得以計較。工正、行、草書，筆致清潤遒麗，具晉、唐人法度。與米芾齊名，人稱「米薛」。

Hsueh Chaopeng borrowed a square tea pot from Po Chen. After he finished appreciating the tea pot, he had someone returned the tea pot along with a letter. The letter delivered his regards to Po Chen and his opinions on the tea pot. |

| 此帖，是蔡襄作詩上呈宋仁宗之作。在詩前是蔡襄向仁說進呈這首詩的原因。仁宗曾賜書並賜字「君謨」蔡襄，並且對蔡襄有很大的期望，希望蔡襄可以為天下國家盡力，蔡襄極為感動，也是備受榮寵，因此寫詩進呈。詩的大意是感謝皇帝對他的重視，稱讚皇帝的盛德，最後則說自己一定會為國家竭盡心力，讓皇帝的成就，可以上追上古的聖君明王。 |
