武則天當大周皇帝的時候，王羲之的後人，也是當時的宰相王方慶，把王羲之、王獻之等人的書法作品收集起來獻給了武則天，武則天說，這是你家祖宗的東西，我怎麼能要，於是下令用硬黃紙雙鉤拓摹複製了一份，就把原件還給了王方慶。〈萬歲通天帖〉是王羲之一家幾代人的法書作品，所以又叫〈王氏ㄧ門書翰〉。內容都是和親友間往返的書信，或問候，或說明近況等。王羲之已經沒有真蹟傳世了，現在傳世的都是鉤填本。〈萬歲通天帖〉是一千多年前留下的，上面有王方慶的題字，而且還有武則天文字改革時期的文字，所以非常珍貴。 |

The authentic copies of Wang Hsi-chih’s calligraphy are no longer available now. It was handed down from one thousand years ago and Wang Fangching’s autography remains on the copy, in addition, the very precious characters used in the reform period inr Wu Tsetien regime are also presented in the copy. The content of it are letters among friends and relatives.
