【摘要】
|
這封信的主題是姜立綱請求鎮邦能夠為國家盡心盡力。因為從這封信的開頭說到姜立綱對鎮邦是久仰大名，但是兩人相識卻很晚，這就是表兩人並非是極為深交的朋友，所以即使是姜立綱知道鎮邦是個人才，肯為國家做事的人，但是卻不知道鎮邦是否對國家是極為忠心的人。第二點，信中提到國家的疆域越來越小，當時與中國相鄰的邊疆戰事不斷，極為困擾中央政府，而政府把這事情交由鎮邦處理，姜立綱便請鎮邦能多盡一份力，把這事情處理好。 |

僕夙仰閣下篤尚文事，每恨定交之晚。屢辱不棄，率無以副來教， 殊為愧耶！偶爾輕丰度昔昔在夢，事屬不當，乃匠者忽焉，實可怪也。仍乞閣下指麾，務俾極其精致，四邊皆被裁窄之，奈何，奈何！心照為感，容當 走謝。不具。 立綱頓首鎮邦先生閣下 |

A letter to Chenpang

Inside Story This is a letter Chiang Likang wrote to Chenpang asking him to serve his country with all his efforts. Although Chiang Likang had heard of Chenpang long ago, they did not know each other till many years later. Since they were not closed friends, he was uncertain if Chenpang could be loyal to his country in spite he was a talented man and was willing to serve his country. He also mentioned the territory of the country was decreasing and there were various battles along the border, which was rather disturbing to the imperial government. As now the government had sent Chenpang to handle the matters he asked him to try his best to take care of the matters.
