【摘要】

這是皇帝任官的敕命，古時任官的程序，通常是皇帝先給翰林學士知制誥的(一般的翰林學士不行，只有「知制誥」的才可以)下「詞頭」，也就是任命公文的草稿，翰林學士根據這份草稿來寫任命的文書。這種文書，通常會先對要任命的官員大加讚美，說明被任命的官員在品行上、才能上都是上等人才，(這樣的文字會佔最去大的篇幅)，最後才是說要任命的官銜是什麼。所以，這篇公文，是對顏真卿任命的公文命令，而顏真卿是將這份公文親手寫過，而成為這份書帖。 |

Self-written Incumbency
Yen Chenching, Tang Dynasty
Inside Story This is a draft of courtier incumbency granted by the Emperor. Officials would issue the incumbency according to the draft. Generally it praises the virtue and talent of the courtier and the praise occupies a large portion of the content. Official title is stated in the end of incumbency. This article is the incumbency of Yen Chenching and he rewrote the incumbency in calligraphy personally.
