A dinner party for poets
Hsueh Shaopeng, Sung Dynasty
Inside Story Hsueh Chaopeng was invited by Mi Fu to a dinner party, it was a get-together occasion for poets. Hsueh Chaopeng brought some calligraphy artwork which he purchased unintentionally to the party. They appreciated the artwork and exchanged thoughts. In the letter Hsueh Chaopeng also asked his friend not to turn down invitations to such an occasion.
