看來最近尚無機緣會晤，只有付之悲歎！您（王羲之的妻舅郗愔）家中大小都平安吧？聽說您將來這裏（會稽，即今浙江省紹興市）居住，等待您來到，不勝欣喜之至！此言想必可以實現，要告訴我日期喔！我早就意料您不想住在京都（建康，即今南京）這裏地既隱僻，又當時令特佳，所以很高興您能前來。這封信的用意，期待您能回信。 |

I heard you are going to live in KuaiChi, I am so excited and I wait for your arrival. You must tell me when you are coming. I expected you have no intention to stay at the capital (Nanjing). Here is more isolated and the season now is very pleasant, I am very glad you can come and look forward to hearing from you.
