葉夢得這封寫給季高的信，是因為之前季高寫了一封信給他，在信中有勉勵葉夢得的話，所以葉夢得回信，表達感謝之意，也略說自己的近況，身體狀況不是很好，會流眼淚、頭昏，寫字就成了很痛苦的事。其他大致就還好。 |

夢得叩頭：人至辱教示，審聞頓暄，動止安健，良深慰荷。冗幹極荷留念，悚悚不知幾時定可還，日遲面款。入此月來，淚口頓昏痛，作字絕艱，強勉附報草草，餘惟珍愛不次。夢得叩頭季高貢元親契 |

A replied letter
Yeh Mengteh, Sung Dynasty
Inside Story This was a letter Yeh Mengte replied to Chikao. Chikao wrote a letter to Yeh Mengte earlier to encourage him. In the letter he expressed his appreciation to Chikao. He also briefly mentioned his condition and told him that he was not in good health condition as he had some problems of shedding tears as well as feeling dizzy, therefore, it was rather painful for him to write calligraphy, other than that he was doing alright.
