【摘要】
|
因為文獻不足，無法知道收信人是誰。信中內容是說李綱收到皇帝的詔書，原因是李綱會上書分析邊防的利害，也就是如何去處理邊界外族的種種事情，皇帝看到後非常高興，因此大加讚賞。李綱覺得很高興，但是也有點難過，因為他一個人經歷過許多危險的事情，有十年都是這樣，但是一直到今天，他對國家的忠誠之心，才被發現。後段說到李綱自己身體狀況越來越差，快要不能再為國家效力，但是這樣他就有許多空閒的時間，種種花草，過悠閒的日子。 |

【釋文】
|
綱再拜：近被御筆詔書，以向條具邊防利害，特加見諭。上恩隆厚，何以克當！孤危之跡，共國十年，閒關險阻，無所不至。拳拳孤忠，今乃見察，第深感泣。今錄詔書并謝表子去，恐不知也。綱衰病日加，不復堪為世用，然靜而謀之，則有暇矣。近於所寓僧舍之側，葺小圃時花種藥，為經行遊息之所。戲作上梁文及圃中十二詠，輒以拜呈。如得妙句為林下之光，幸甚幸甚！綱再拜 |

After received the imperial edict

Inside Story The letter was about Li Kang’s feeling as he received the imperial edict. Li Kang forwarded an analysis of pros and cons on border guarding to the emperor; he gave suggestions on how to deal with the invasion of foreign tribes. Li Kang was glad to receive the imperial edict, yet he was a little bit sad, for he had gone through lots of danger for the past 10 years, not till now his loyalty was finally recognized by his country. In the end of the letter Li Kang mentioned that his health condition was getting worse and he was almost no longer able to serve his country, but under such circumstance he had more free time to do some gardening and lived a relaxing life.
