《曹娥碑》是指紀念東漢曹娥節孝感天的碑文。曹娥的父親溺於江中，多日不見屍體，曹娥當時年僅十四歲，晝夜沿江哭尋父親。七天後，她也投江，三天後抱著父親的屍體破水而出。後人為了紀念曹娥的孝行，於是立碑紀錄，同時也對曹娥孝心、孝行大加稱讚。 |

Inside Story This epigraph was written in memory of Tsao-eh who was very filial to her father. Tsao-eh’s father was drown in a river and his body was unable to be found for many days. She was only fourteen years old then, she walked along the river trying to find her father for days and nights. After seven days she jumped into the river. Three days later, her body holding her father’s body floated out of the water. In order to commemorate her daughterly action people made a tombstone for her to praise her filial behavior.
